Squatty Potty Recalls Children’s Toilet Step Stools Due to Injury and Fall Hazards

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall on the Squatty Potty SquattyPottymus style children’s toilet step stool due to an issue with the top removable step, known as the hat, coming off and posing a fall and injury hazard.

To date, there have been two confirmed injuries involving the hat falling off. One child struck her chin on the sink and bit her lip and the other hit his head off the wall.

Consumers are encouraged to stop using the top step portion of the stool and send it back to Squatty Potty, free of charge, and to receive a $10 refund.
